As a part of our MBA exchange program from, we went on a summer exchange program to Copenhagen Business School (CBS). We planned our trip in such a way that we could travel to different cities during the weekends and complete our academic credits during the weekdays. On one of our weekend trips, we travelled to Paris.

We rented an apartment near Pigalle station which made it pretty convenient to get to all the touristy areas using public transport. While we were in Paris, we visited almost all the popular spots including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame de Paris, the Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Sacré-Cœur, Catacombs and Tour Montparnasse.

06. We chose to climb up the steps because it allowed us to take as many stops as we wanted along the way and enjoy the beautiful view of Paris from different levels.

Once we reached the top of the hill, we can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of the city. If you are interested in art and architecture, you can also explore stunning paintings and art works filled with rich history inside the Basilica. After walking around for a bit, we found a perfect spot on the steps and enjoyed our delicious lunch while admiring the beautiful view of Paris.

Later that day, we visited the famous Eiffel Tower. If you want to avoid crowds, try to get there as early as possible. You can enjoy the perfect view of Paris skyline from both the top and the first floor of Eiffel Tower. If you enjoyed visiting the Eiffel Tower during the day time, just wait till you visit this monument during the night. The whole tower sparkles bright with a beautiful display of lights.

If you happen to visit Eiffel Tower on Bastille day, you can witness magnificent fireworks lighting up the tower. Did you know that the Eiffel Tower was named after its engineer Gustave Eiffel? The tower also has a nickname “La Dame de fer” meaning “the iron lady”.
