After visiting Cliffs of Moher, we stopped by Dunguaire Castle on the way back to Dublin. Located on the shore of Galway Bay just 50 kilometres away from The Cliffs of Moher, this enchanting Irish castle attracts many tourists from across the globe all-round the year. Built in the 15th Century, the Dunguaire Castle has a 75-foot-tall tower and an amazing view of the Bay. This castle has been restored twice with the most recent restoration done in 1942. If you are a foodie and wine lover like me, I would suggest visiting the castle any time from 3rd week of April to mid-October. Every year around this time, this castle hosts old-fashioned banquets with delicious food and wines for the visitors.
