The Cathedral of Florence is truly a masterpiece! Many renowned artists in the history have made valuable contribution to bring this architectural marvel to life. Did you know that it took two centuries to build this vast Gothic Structure? The construction of the Cathedral began in the 13th Century and the dome was added in the 15th Century. This cathedral attracts many visitors from across the globe all around the year. Most of the times there are long lines of tourists waiting at the entrance to witness the beauty of this cathedral from inside as well as to enjoy the view of the city from the top the Duomo. The fact that the entry inside the Cathedral is free attracts even more travellers. The exterior of the Cathedral is a decorative mix of pink, white and green patterns whereas the interior is more subtle yet quite artistic with mosaic pavements.
