After completing my engineering at McMaster University, we went on a month long Euro-trip covering Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland and Netherlands. We stopped by Rome to explore the rich history of this ancient city after having some fun in the sun in Barcelona. Since Fonatana Di Trevi was within walking distance of our hostel, we started our sightseeing tour with a visit to this delightful fountain. Built in 19 BC, Fontana di Trevi, is situated at the end of a canal beautifying the junction of three ancient roads. It gets its name Trevi from “tre vie” which means three roads. Trevi Fountain is also famous for its “Make a wish” ritual which includes tossing a coin over your left shoulder in the fountain. They say if you stand with your back to the fountain and toss a coin with your right hand in the fountain, you will surely come back to Rome.
