Oia – a delightful little village at the northern tip of the Greek Island

The very first glance of the classic blue and white skyline surrounded by deep blue ocean and clear sunny sky left me spellbound! It is hard to imagine that the white and pristine Greek Island is created by a massive volcano eruption that destroyed the earliest settlements of this paradise. The main island slopes downwards to the Aegean Sea and is surrounded by steep cliffs on the remaining three sides. The Island offers a number of activities such as walking along the caldera edge, wine tasting, hiking. You can enjoy a unique shopping experience in tiny shops on narrow streets. Or have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee at cafes with magnificent views. While we were there, we witnessed dazzling panoramas, mesmerizing sunsets and beautiful volcanic sand beaches. We absolutely can’t wait to go back again.
